NORTH CANTON, OH: The USTFCCCA has released the newest set of regional and national rankings after the official start of Cross Country season last week. Both Walsh programs competed at the Robert Morris Invitational for their first race, running to 2nd and 3rd place finishes as teams. The Women's runner up finish was led by
Claire Rethman who finished 1st individually while the Men were led by 1st place winner,
Xavier Foehl. Both Rethman and Foehl earned G-MAC Athlete of the Week for their strong performances.
With the success at Robert Morris, the Women saw an extensive jump in the national rankings, moving up to 14th in the country. They jumped 7 spots since the preseason rankings were released. The Men's program fell 4 spots to 25th after originally being ranked 21st. Regionally, the both teams are ranked 4th.
