NORTH CANTON, OH: For the first time since the final poll of the 2023-2024 season, the Walsh Men's Basketball team has been ranked in the National Association of Basketball Coaches DII Poll. This week was the 8th poll where the Cavaliers found themselves ranked 23rd overall. Previously, they were not receiving votes. 

Sitting at 13-2 overall and 7-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, the Cavaliers have won five straight games. Most recently, Walsh dominated Kentucky Wesleyan College, 102-66. This win was the 6th 100th point offensive performance of the season. Averaging 90.9 points per game, the Men are 10th in the division in scoring offense. The Maroon and Gold are also strong on the defensive side of the floor being 10th in the country in scoring margin at 17 points. They also are currently only giving up an average of 73.5 points per game.
 
Individually, Quintero Barnett leads the Cavaliers offensively at 16.3 points per game. He is shooting 56.2% from the field and pulling in 4.3 rebounds per game. Freshman, Brayden Gross, has also been a force in his first season with 13.6 points per game and leading on the boards at 7.2 rebounds per game. 

The 23rd ranked Cavs will return to the court on Thursday at Tiffin and then again on Saturday at Malone.
