NORTH CANTON, OH: Walsh Cavalier Football found their name in this weeks release of the American Football Coaches Association Division II poll. After a 2-0 start and a bye week last week, the Maroon and Gold are receiving votes in the poll. 

Other G-MAC teams featured in the poll are #9 University of Findlay and #T25 Northwood. Ashland is also receiving votes. 

This week, the Cavaliers will return Larry Staudt Field, welcoming in the Lake Erie College Storm. The annual Pride and Passion game, over Maroon and Gold Weekend, kicks off at 7pm. The Cavs have won the last three match ups and are 7-1 in the last eight. 

The 2-0 start this season has been achieved with wins over West Liberty and Wheeling. Through two games, the Walsh offense ranks 2nd in the conference, averaging 230.5 yards per game. Hayden Wickard, Brendan Zurbrugg, and Jake Gill lead the offensive charge. Gill leads the G-MAC in scoring with 15 points per game. 

Defensively, Eddie Nichols, Donovan Daetwyler, Michael Howman Williams, and Ryan Page lead the Maroon and Gold.
