(ERIE, Pa.) - Walsh improved to 6-1 on the season with a 6-3 win against Edinboro University (2-2) at the Westwood Racquet Club this afternoon. The Cavs will host the University of Southern Indiana at the Hall of Fame Courts on Thursday at 11 a.m. and then play host to Lewis University at the Hall of Fame on Friday at 6 p.m.

Walsh split the six singles doubles matches, but swept the Scots in doubles play. Carlos Jaque (So., Chijuayante, Concepcion, Chile/Lycee Charles de Gaulle) won 6-1, 6-3 at third singles. Iagos Lucca (Fr., Caxias du Sul/Brazil/Colegio La Salle Caxias) posted a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 win at fourth singles, and Jose Fernandez (Fr., Sevilla, Spain/Instituto de Educacaion a Distancia) won 6-4, 6-4 at number six singles.

Jaque then teamed with Pablo Cabezon (So., Santander, Cantabria, Spain/Calasanz Collegue) to win 8-4 at first doubles. Lucca and Ross Whitaker (Fr., Massillon, OH/Lake) won 9-8 at second doubles, and Louis Thomas (Sr., Canton, OH/Jackson) and Alex Portelance (So., Repentigny, Quebec/Felix-Leclerc) won 8-4 at third doubles.
