No. 15 Ferris State Too Much For Men's Tennis

(CANTON, Ohio) – The Walsh men's tennis team faced a talented opponent in No. 15 Ferris State, but were unable to score a win against the regionally-top ranked team in a 9-0 defeat. The Cavaliers are now 11-11 overall and 3-5 in the GLIAC.

The Bulldogs are now 15-2 overall and clinched at least a share of the GLIAC Championship with an 8-0 league mark.

Vasily Vidmanov came the closest to breaking the shutout after he split a pair of 6-2 sets with Till von Winning, but Vidmanov narrowly dropped a third set by a score of 7-5. Felix Zimmermann also took Steward Sell to the wire, but fell 6-4, 7-6 (7-2).

The Cavaliers will close out the season tomorrow morning against Grand Valley State.
