Men's Tennis Edged By Hillsdale

(CANTON, Ohio) – The Walsh men's tennis team was narrowly defeated by Hillsdale in a 5-4 contest at the Hall of Fame Courts on Saturday morning. The Cavaliers fell to 10-10 overall on the season and 2-4 in the GLIAC, while the Chargers improved to 11-7 and 4-3 in the same categories.

The Cavs evenly split singles play, but were only to score one point in the doubles portion. That came at the No. 2 spot where Vasily Vidmanov and Rodrigo Garcia won by an 8-5 margin against Dajan Delp and John Ciraci

Vidmanov was perfect on the day as he took down Justin Hyman 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) at first singles. Felix Zimmermann and Heitor Adegas added two more points at the fourth and fifth spots. Zimmermann defeated Delp 6-3, 6-7, 6-2. Adegas took down Ciraci 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.

Walsh will be back in action tomorrow against Findlay at 8 a.m.
