ASHLAND, OH: The meet that the Cavaliers had been training for all season finally happened on May 3rd-5th. The Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship Meet was held at Ashland University. As teams, both the Men and Women finished 5th, respectively. The Cavs secured seven individual championships as well as many student-athletes setting personal records. Grad student,
Zach Kreft was named Male Athlete of the Meet and Male Track Athlete of the Year. Freshman,
Kya Epps, was named Female Freshman of the Meet and Female Freshman of the Year. With a few last chance meets this upcoming week, the Maroon and Gold will now look towards Nationals held in Pueblo, Colarado, on May 25th-May 27th.

FOR THE CAV WOMEN
- Kya Epps took home two individual titles in the 100m and 200m dash. In the 100m, she ran a provisional time of 11.85s. In the 200m, she ran another provisional time of 24.12s.
- The Cavs had a strong showing in the Women's 10,000m. Camryn Barker finished 2nd, Bridget Hahn finished 3rd, and Teja Young finished 4th.
- The 4x100 relay team set another school record and ran a provisional time of 46.34s. The team consisted of Kelsey Hartsock, Style Henry, Claire Martin, and Kya Epps. This time got them a 3rd place finish.
- Kelsey Hartsock was the G-MAC champion in pole vault with a provisional mark of 4.15m.
- Claire Martin and Emma Springer had podium finishes in the Long Jump, finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Martin also finished 3rd in the Women's Triple Jump.
FOR THE CAV MEN
- Zach Kreft secured two 1st place finishes in the 10,000m and the 5,000m. He ran the 10,000m in 29:15.36 and 14:13.72 in the 5000m, both provisional marks.
- Mitchel Dunham was a G-MAC Champion in the 3000 Steeplechase, running it in 8:58.06.
- Gabriel Miller threw a provisional mark in the discus, securing first place. His throw of 54.57m was also a school record.
- Dominic Nutter placed 3rd in the 60.20m, a provisional mark.
