BEREA AND COLUMBUS, OH: Great weather led to some great competition this past weekend at the Jesse Owens Track Classic, hosted by Ohio State University, and the "Sparky Adams" Meet, at Baldwin Wallace. Over the course of the weekend there were a many personal records set which will prepare the team for the conference championships in two weeks. For the Men's team, Micah Gremling, Brody Pumneo, and Oakley Kemp ran strong For the Women, Laura Rogers, Claire Martin, and Tatum Miller had podium finishes in their respective events.
Walsh will be back in action this upcoming week at the Walsh Tune Up. They will be at Walsh University, competing on April 24th-25th.
FOR THE MEN
- Micah Gremling- Finished 2nd in the 100m Dash. His time was 10.53s.
- Brody Pumneo- PR'd and finished 2nd in the 400m. His time was 50.15s.
- Cameron Beverly- Finished 2nd in the High Jump. His height was 2.01m or 6'7".
- Joshua Smith- Finished 3rd in the Pole Vault. His height was 2.95m or 9'8".
- Oakley Kemp- PR'd and finished 1st in the Long Jump. His distance was 6.63m or 21'9".
- Brant Herman- PR'd and finished 2nd in the Shotput. His distance was 14.14m or 46'4.75".
- Dominic Nutter- PR'd and finished 4th in the Hammer Throw. His distance was 63.47m or 208'3". He is currently 11th in the Nation!
FOR THE WOMEN
- Laura Rodgers- Finished 5th in the 1500m. Her time was 4:48.90.
- Claire Martin- Finished 1st in Long Jump. Her distance was 5.66m or 18'7".
- Anna Negulic- Finished 4th in the Long Jump. Her distance was 4.96m or 16'3.25".
- Tatum Miller- Finished 3rd in the Shotput. Her distance was 12.49m or 40'11.75".
- Alexandria Morris- Finished 5th in the Discus. Her distance was 39.05m or 128'1".
