ROMEOVILLE, IL: The nationally ranked Cross Country programs continued their season this past weekend at the DII Crossover at Lewis University. The , Women, 10th, and the Men, 23rd, looked to prove their ranking not just in the Region but in the Nation. Both teams did just that, running strong and well in the preview of what will be the regional field in about one month. Headlining the success for Walsh was Senior,
Claire Rethman who finished 2nd overall, by just a small margin of .02. Rethman chased down the #1 female runner in the country to force the officials to refer back to the final image to name the overall winner; a true photo finish.
The postseason is up next as the Cavaliers will travel to Midland, Michigan on October 25th for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships.

- Claire Rethman continued her dominant season and earned G-MAC Athlete of the Week honors with her 2nd overall finish. Her 6K time was 20:45.
