Kiley Dyrlund has earned WBCA/D2SIDA National Player of the Week. Dyrlund, from Canton, Ohio, has helped lead Walsh to one of their best starts in the NCAA era. Currently, the Cavaliers are 8-3 and 4-0 in Great Midwest play.
In last weeks two G-MAC wins, versus Findlay and Ursuline, Kiley was a force to be reckoned with. In the contests, she shot a combined 88% from the floor and averaged 12.5 rebounds. More specifically, her stat line vs the Oilers included: 18 points, 17 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. Against Ursuline, she had 26 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. These performances also earned her Great Midwest Athlete of the Week honors.
On the season, Dyrlund leads the conference in field goal percentage at 61.5%. She is currently averaging 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She also totals 35 steals on the season thus far.
