(ERIE, Pa.) - On the strength of winning five of six singles matches, Walsh (3-1) breezed by Mercyhurst University (1-2) 7-2 on Monday. The Cavs are now idle until October 17 when they meet Millersville University on the road.

The Cavs dominated the Lakers in winning their third consecutive match. Pablo Cabezon (So., Santander, Cantabria, Spain/Calasanz Collegue) won 6-3, 6-1 at first singles. Carlos Jaque (So., Chijuayante, Concepcion, Chile/Lycee Charles de Gaulle) also won 6-2, 6-3 at fourth singles.

Ross Whittaker (Fr., Massillon, OH/Lake) won 6-1, 6-3 at second singles and paired with Iagos Lucca (Fr., Caxias du Sul/Brazil/Colegio La Salle Caxias) to win 8-5 at second doubles.

Louis Thomas (Sr., Canton, OH/Jackson) won 6-0, 6-3 at fifth singles and teamed with Alex Portelance (So., Repentigny, Quebec/Felix-Leclerc) to capture an 8-3 win at third doubles.  Jose Fernandez (Fr., Sevilla, Spain/Instituto de Educacaion a Distancia) won at number six singles; 6-0, 7-6.
