(WOOSTER, OH) - Walsh improved to 2-1 on the season after defeating the College of Wooster 7-2 today at DJ Hard Memorial Courts in Wooster.

The Cavs captured four of six singles matches and swept the Scots (1-1) in doubles.

Pablo Cabezon (So., Santander, Cantabria, Spain/Calasanz Collegue) won 6-2, 6-3 at first singles. Iagos Lucca (Fr., Caxias du Sul/Brazil/Colegio La Salle Caxias) posted a 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (10-4) win at third singles, Carlos Jaque (So., Chijuayante, Concepcion, Chile/Lycee Charles de Gaulle) won 6-2, 6-0 at fourth singles and Jose Fernandez (Fr., Sevilla, Spain/Instituto de Educacaion a Distancia) won 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) at fifth singles.

Cabezon and Jaque won 8-6 at first doubles, with Ross Whittaker (Fr., Massillon, OH/Lake) and Lucca winning 8-5 at second doubles and Fernandez and Jonathan Hardesty (Fr., Franklin, MA/HS) winning 8-4 at third doubles.
