(ERIE, Pa.) Walsh improved to 4-0 on the season after defeating Mercyhurst University 7-2 at the Chris Batchelor Courts. The Cavs are now idle until they play at Oberlin College on October 11.

Walsh won two of three doubles matches, as Pablo Cabezon and Ross Whittaker won 8-3 at first doubles and Vasiliy Vidmanov and Carlos Jaque won 8-5 at seccond doubles.

The Cavs then preceeded to take five of six matches to record the 7-2 triumph.

Cabezon won 6-7, 6-3, 10-7 at number one singles and Whittaker won 6-2, 6-1 at second singles. Vidmanov won 6-3, 6-2 at third singles and Jaque posted a 6-2, 6-1 win at fourth singles. Iagos Lucca then won 6-7, 6-3, 10-4 at fifth singles.
