(CANTON, Ohio) - Walsh (7-2) defeated the Lewis University (1-1) 6-3 at the Hall of Fame Courts in Canton tonight. Lewis came into the match ranked 46th nationally, and seventh regionally.

Walsh received singles wins from Ross Whittaker (Fr., Massillon, OH/Lake) at second singles (6-4, 6-4), Iagos Luccs (Fr., Caxias du Sul/Brazil/Colegio La Salle Caxias) at fourth singles (6-1, 6-0). Louis Thomas (Sr., Canton, OH/Jackson) won 6-2, 6-0 at fifth singles and Jose Fernandez (Fr., Sevilla, Spain/Instituto de Educacaion a Distancia) won 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles

In doubles action, Whittaker and Lucca won 8-1 at second doubles, and Thomas and won 8-0 at third doubles.
