Cavs Split at Hillsdale; Reusser Hits Three-Run Homer in Opener

(Hillsdale, MI) Walsh (18-11, 12-7) split a GLIAC double header at Hillsdale College (18-18, 9-9) today. Walsh won 6-4 in the opener, but were shutout 5-0 in the nightcap. The Cavs are at the University of Findlay for a 12pm twinbill tomorrow.

Behind Casi Rohr's (Sr., Massillon, OH /Perry) eight strikeouts, and Abby Reusser's (So.,Orrville, OH / HS) three-run homerun, Walsh took game one from Hillsdale College 6-4. Rohr scattered seven hits in improving to 13-6. After Reagan Rito (So., Beloit, OH / West Branch) gave the Cavs a two-run lead with a first inning two-run single, Reusser slugged a three-run blast in the third. Walsh added a run in the sixth inning on Marissa Bondoni's (Jr., Alliance, OH / HS) run scoring single.

The Cavs could muster just two hits in game two. The Chargers scored three runs in the second inning, and then scored two insurance runs in the sixth. Bondoni started and pitched 4.0 innings in taking the loss.
