Walsh (21-14, 15-10) took both ends of a GLIAC twinbill at Malone University (4-31, 1-24) by the scores of 8-4 and 12-3 (5 inn.). The Cavs will close the regular season at home on Sunday when they complete a suspended game from April 3 against Lake Superior State at 11 am. Walsh leads 8-5 in the top of the third inning.

Walsh scored five runs in the final two innings on their way to an 8-4 win in game one. Sam Troxell (Sr., Cuyahoga Falls, OH / HS / YSU) and Annie Woolf (Fr., Louisville, OH / HS) each had four hits for the Cavs. Troxell was 4-5 with a homer, a triple and two RBI, while Woolf was 4-5 with a homer, a double and three RBI. Marissa Bondoni (Jr., Alliance, OH / HS) was 3-3 wth a homer. Nikki Newman (So., North Royalton, OH / HS) and Reagan Rito (So., Beloit, OH / West Branch) each had two hits. Casi Rohr (Sr., Massillon, OH / Perry / Toledo) went the distance for Walsh for her 15th win of the season.

The Cavs put game two away with an eight-run second inning. Newman stroked a three-run homer and Jenna Head (So., Mantua, OH / Crestwood) also homered. Troxell had two more hits, and starting and winning pitcher Olivia Pifer (Fr., Loveland, OH / HS) also had two hits. Pifer went the distance and is now 4-3.
