(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – It was a tough day for the Walsh women's lacrosse team as it fell 23-2 to visiting McKendree on a windy Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 3-4 overall and 0-4 in the conference while the Bearcats improved to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in the GLIAC.

McKendree jumped out to an early lead with four goals in the first few minutes. Lane Brunkala eventually got the Cavaliers on the scoreboard 4:07 into the game on an assist from Sarah McCormick, but the Bearcats responded with the next five scores.

Brunkala also scored the Cavaliers' second score with 12:54 left in the first half.

The Cavaliers return to action in a couple of days when they host Indianapolis. The game has been moved up from its original start time and will now being at 10 a.m.
