Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh fell in its final home GLIAC game of the year by a score of 19-7 against Tiffin on Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers fall to 4-11 overall on the season and 0-11 within the conference. The Dragons improved to 10-5 overall and 8-2 in the GLIAC.
Tiffin jumped out to a five-goal lead over the first 10 minutes before Walsh scored a pair on goals by Sarah McCormick and Aly Jajack to get back into the game.
The Dragons answered with the next three scores to take an 8-2 into the halftime break.
In the second half, Lane Brunkala and Emma Armour scored two of the first three goals to bring Walsh within five, but Tiffin answered with an 8-0 run.
McCormick and Brunkala each scored two goals to lead the Cavaliers. Brunkala added an assist for three points. Jajack added an assist to finish with two points.
Mikaela Faus had a season-high 18 saves in goal and the second-highest save percentage of the year at 48.6 percent.
The Cavaliers will return to action in their home finale on Tuesday against Alderson Broaddus.
