Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – The Walsh women's lacrosse team fell to visiting Indianapolis by a score of 21-7 in GLIAC action at Vasco Field. The Cavaliers fell to 3-5 overall and 0-5 in the conference. The Greyhounds improved to 4-6 overall and 2-3 in the GLIAC.
The game was close for the majority of the first half before UIndy pulled away late in the opening stanza. The Greyhounds scored the first two goals of the game, but Aly Jajack kept Walsh in the game initially with four of the next seven goals scored to make the score 5-4.
The two teams split the next two goals with Lane Brunkala's score again cutting the deficit to one with 17:38 to go in the half, but the Greyhounds closed on a 5-0 run.
Brunkala scored again early in the second half, but Walsh was limited to one goal, scored by Jenny Spragg, the rest of the way.
Walsh plays its penultimate game of this five-game home stand against Lake Erie this Tuesday. First draw with the Storm is scheduled for 5 p.m.
