Box Score (ALLENDALE, Mich.) – The final chapter of the Walsh women's lacrosse season came to a close with a defeat at Grand Valley State by a score of 22-1 Saturday evening. The Cavaliers end the season at 5-12 overall and 0-12 in the GLIAC.
The Lakers, who were playing their third game in two days, conclude the regular season at 13-4 overall and 11-1 in the conference and will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming GLIAC tournament.
Grand Valley jumped out to a 10-0 lead over the course of the first 20 minutes of the game before Emma Armour scored the Cavaliers only goal on an assist from Aly Jajack.
Mikaela Faus made 11 saves on the day and also led the team with a game-high six ground balls.
The Lakers featured a balanced offense in which three players scored three goals. Kelley Fitzgerald added an assist to lead the Laker offense with four points.
