Women's Lacrosse Falls To Lake Erie

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – The Walsh women's lacrosse team dropped to Lake Erie by a score of 14-8 in GLIAC action at Vasco Field on Thursday evening. The Cavaliers are now 7-5 overall and 0-3 in the conference, while the Storm improved to 8-2 overall and 1-2 in the GLIAC.

It was a game of runs as Walsh jumped out of the gate to score six-straight goals and take a 6-2 lead in the first 25 minutes of the game. Emma Armour started the run before Aly Jajack scored three consective goals for the Cavaliers.

However Lake Erie eventually reversed the course and closed the half with the last four goals to knot the game at 6-6 before the break. The Storm also opened up the second half with the first three goals and closed the game on a 12-2 run.

In addition to Jajack, Maria Nobile had a multiple goal game with two and added an assist for three points.

Mikaela Faus came up with 14 saves on 36 shots faced on the defensive end.

The Cavaliers will return to action next Friday when they host Findlay at 5 p.m.
