(HILLSDALE, Michigan) - The Walsh University softball team traveled to Hillsdale to take on the Chargers on Saturday (April 6) in a conference double-header. The Cavs fell 9-0 (5 innings) in the first game of the double-header and 9-7 in the second.

Jessie Rock hit two homeruns on the day with three RBI. Brooke Six also had a homerun with two RBI. Katelyn Loughman had four hits on the day, while Abbey Yaugher connected for three hits including a double. 

Sarah Gockenbach pitched three innings in the first game, with two strike-outs. Lauren Frigyes came in to pitch one inning, striking out one batter. Allison Harper pitched five innings of the second game, with one strike-out. 

 (TIFFIN, Ohio) - The Cavaliers continued their roadtrip as they faced the Tiffin Dragons in another conference double-header earlier today (April 7). Walsh was defeated 10-5 in the first game and 8-7 in the second game of the day.

Rock finished off a stellar weekend with two more homeruns, including a grand slam for six RBI on the day. Loughman connected on three hits, including two doubles, with one RBI. Alina Molette had a solid day that included four hits and three RBI. 

Shelbi Gregg and Gockenbach shared time in the circle during the first game of the day. Gockenbach struck-out two batters. Harper pitched all innings in the second game of the day. 

The Cavs record moves to 8-28 overall and 4-10 in the G-MAC. Walsh will face Davis & Elkins on Friday (April 12) at 3:00 and 5:00 PM.
