NORTH CANTON, Ohio- The Walsh Cavaliers women's indoor track and field team opened the 2021-22 season in a myriad of ways over the weekend, participating in events in Findlay, Youngstown and Alliance.
Student-athletes competed at the Oiler Opener at Findlay, the YSU Icebreaker at Youngstown State and the Toy Drive Invite at Mount Union.
In the opening weekend, there was a school record and four provisional marks set. Alexa Leppelmeier broke the 5K record while Ndidiamaka Anaraodo set two throws marks. Kelsey Hartsock vaulted onto the scene with a provo mark in her collegiate debut.
