Box Score FROSTBURG, MD- The Walsh Cavaliers recorded their first road-victory of the 2021 season Thursday (March 18th) at Frostburg State University. The Cavaliers outscored the Bobcats 16-12.

Walsh came out strong Thursday afternoon as they scored the first three goals of the match. The Cavaliers maintained their lead for the remainder of the game as seven different players contributed to the final score of 16. Leading the charge was #8 Hannah McFeeters. McFeeters totaled five goals for the third straight game this season, making her season total 21. She also tallied seven ground balls and one assist.
Lindsey Hindman and Kendra Cowen-Trip each scored three goals a piece. Morgan Miller, Grace Andreski, and Chloe Tatlow also scored goals for Walsh. Junior Ellen Lawrence led all-assists at three on the day.
The Cavaliers maintained the same intensity on the defensive end as they forced the Bobcats to 19 turnovers. Emily Shea led the Walsh defense as she caused three turnovers and picked up two groundballs. The goalie-duo of Kathleen Mendenhall and Megan Morris allowed 12 goals for the day. Mendenhall totaled four saves and Morris contributed one on on 17 total shots.
For the Bobcats, Cammie Schniedwind and Anna Kearney led the team in goals, each scoring three.
Walsh will look to extend their win-streak to three Friday, March 26th as they host Grand Valley State University at Noon ET.
