GAME ONE
The Cavaliers handed #19 Grand Valley State their third loss of the season by a score of 1-0. A strong defensive effort by both teams would prevent either team from scoring until the fifth inning. Pitcher Sara Gockenbach pitched all seven innings, and allowed only two hits on the day. Gockenbach totaled five strikeouts and improved to 7-0 on the mound.
For Grand Vallley, pitcher Hannah Beatus also recorded five strikeouts on the day, while allowing one run.

Down 6-2, Freshman Olivia Betson subbed in for the third time this season. Grand Valley scored three runs in the top of the fifth, extending their lead 9-2.
