Box Score DELAWARE, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers men's lacrosse stepped away from conference play on Tuesday (March 23) as they headed south to take on the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan University. The Cavaliers fell short to the Bishops 17-7 on the road on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ohio Wesleyan scored four straight goals in the first seven minutes of the game before Sully Dowling got Walsh on the board with 3:45 left in the first quarter. Walsh trailed 6-1 after one quarter. The Bishops struck first in the second quarter with a goal 90 seconds in. Brent Mitchell scored a man-up goal at the halfway point of the quarter, assisted by Colby Bowman. Dowling scored his second goal in the final two minutes as Ohio Wesleyan led 10-3 at halftime. Marcus Brown opened the third quarter scoring three minutes in and Ohio Wesleyan ended the quarter with a 5-0 run and a 15-4 lead going to the fourth. Walsh outscored Ohio Wesleyan 3-2 in the fourth quarter as Brown, Bowman and Kevin McMahon all scored on assists from Roman Smoot and Mitchell. The final score was 17-7 in favor of the Bishops.
