Box Score 2 NORTH CANTON,OH- The Cavaliers went 1-1 Wednesday (April 28th) against conference opponent Lake Erie. The Storm defeated the Cavaliers in game one by a score of 2-0. The Cavs came back to win game two of the series, outscoring Lake Erie 9-1.

GAME ONE
HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities for the first five innings. A strong defensive effort by both teams made the score 0-0 heading into the top of the 6th. Lake Erie's Leah Buck hit a two-run homerun in the top of the 6th to put the Storm up 2-0. Neither team would score for the remainder of play for a final score of 2-0, putting Walsh at 5-14 in the G-MAC.
GAME TWO
HOW IT HAPPENED
Bryn Elliott and Kate Loughman reached base on a walk and hit pitch, to put the Cavaliers in scoring position. With runners on base, Jessie Rock hit her ninth homerun of the season to put the Cavs up 3-0.
The Cavs were hot at the plate in the bottom of the second as they recorded four hits for four runs. Bryn Elliot triple sent Ellie Jackson home for the Cavalier's fourth run of the game. Elliot reached home on a Katelyn Loughman single to extend the lead 5-0. Ashley Zgodzinski advanced Loughman to second on a single to center field. With runners on first and second, a Jessie Rock RBI double sent Loughman to make the score 6-0. Walsh scored their seventh run on an error by the second baseman.
Walsh went on to score two additional runs to end the game in the fifth inning with a final score of 9-1.

Walsh will finish up conference play Saturday, May 1st at Ohio Valley University.
