Box Score 2 HILLSDALE, MI- The Walsh University Cavaliers lost both games Friday (April 9th) afternoon at Hillsdale College. The Chargers outscored the cavs 9-6 in the first game and 11-6 in the second game of the doubleheader. The two losses put the Cavaliers at an overall record of 15-13.

GAME ONE
Jessie Rock sparked the Cavalier offense with a two-run homerun in the top of the first to put Walsh up 2-0. Hillsdale quickley answered with a three-run homerun to take the lead 3-2 heading into the second inning.
Walsh took a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth inning. With runners on first and second, third baseman Bryn Elliott singled to right center as Kalin Kovach tied the game 3-3. Emma Bobey hit an RBI single to left field in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cavs up 4-3.
The Chargers scored six straight runs to total nine for the game.
A Sarah Moats homerun cut the Hillsdale lead 9-6 at the top of the seventh, but the Cavalier's were unable to secure a win.
GAME TWO
Hillsdale College jumped to a 7-0 start before a Kalin Kovach single allowed Cali Frascone to score the first run for Walsh.
The Cavaliers went on to score four more runs to make the score 7-5 at the top of the fifth. Sarah Moats and Katelyn Loughman both hit singles to reach first and second to start the inning. An Emma Bobey RBI scored Walsh's second run of the game. Jessie Rock followed with her second homerun of the series, putting the Cavs within two runs.
Hillsdale's offense proved too much too handle as they scored four straight runs for a grand total of 11.
Sophia Slack hit an RBI to end the game as the Cavs were defeated 11-6.
FOR THE CAVALIERS
- Sarah Moats had four hits and two RBIs on the day which included her second homerun of the season
- Jessie Rock recorded five RBIs, totaling 26 for the year and hit two homeruns for eight on the season
- Emma Bobey totaled 19 RBIs on the year after hitting two in the series
FOR THE CHARGERS
- Pitcher Dana Weidinger threw six strikeouts in seven innings to improve to 12-4 on the year
- Sam Catron hit two homeruns in the series
