ASHLAND, Ohio - In the one-day Jud Logan Light Giver Open at the Niss Athletic Center, the Walsh Cavaliers women's track and field team excelled in a few different categories for a good showing on Saturday (Feb. 5).
Alexa Leppelmeier hit two provisional marks, including bettering her mile mark while finishing first in a pair of events. Alex Bauer added a second place finish behind Leppelmeier in the 800 meter run. Kelsey Hartsock reached 4.05 meters in the pole vault for the 6th best mark in the conference records and the current performance list in Division II. Ndidiamaka Anaraodo capped the day with a provisional standard in the shot put.

Walsh will return to action next week at Grand Valley State and Tiffin, respectively. The Grand Valley Big Meet will run Friday (Feb. 11) and Saturday (Feb. 12) while the Reggie Thomas Classic at Tiffin is just Saturday (Feb. 12).
