CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Most of the Walsh Cavaliers women's track and field team kicked off the 2022 outdoor season at the Yellow Jacket Open on a cold, blustry and snowy day in Cedarville.
Walsh finished fourth as a team as four event titles were claimed by the Cavaliers. Kelsey Hartsock had a NCAA Division II Provisional Mark in the Pole Vault.
A pair of runners also competed at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina. Alexa Leppelmeier set a NCAA Division II Provisional Mark in the 3000 meter steeplechase, clocking in at 10:25.15. Her time is the third fastest in the G-MAC record books and 2nd fastest in Division II this season. Alex Bauer hit another NCAA Provisional mark in the 1500 meter run as the 9th fastest time in D2 (4:30.70).
