NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers women's lacrosse team continued their Great Midwest slate with a 24-1 rout over the Lake Erie Storm on Friday (April 1) night at Larry Staudt Field. 

Walsh scored 11 goals in the first quarter and cruised to a 16-0 lead at the half. On a windy and snowy evening, the Cavaliers improved to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the G-MAC. 

FOR THE CAVALIERS

• Melinda Maers totaled seven points on the day with six goals and one assist. She added three groundballs in the game. 
• Rachel Black scored once and assisted on five other goals for a six-point day. The freshman had three groundballs overall and two caused turnovers.
• Grace Santee found the back of the net four times with three groundballs. 
• Isabella Kelty ended the night with four points on a pair of goals and assists. 
• Katie Coomes tallied three goals for the Cavaliers. 
• Kaytlyn Tokar assisted on four goals.
• Lindsay Hindman had two points on a goal and assist. 
• Grace Andreski, Sidney Klinger, Ellen Lawrence and Mallory Miller all scored one goal each. 
• Halle Kotulock picked up a pair of groundballs and caused two turnovers.
• Kathleen Mendenhall made seven saves with a 30 minute shutout. 
• Megan Morris had three saves on 11 shots faced in the second half. 

Walsh will host Ursuline on Sunday (April 3) at 1:00 PM.
