NORTH CANTON, OH- The Cavaliers battled a rainy day of weather as they fell 8-1 and 5-3 to the conference leaders Ohio Dominican Panthers. 

Score: Game One- Walsh 1, Ohio Dominican 8; Game Two Walsh 3, Ohio Dominican 5

Records: Walsh 6-14 (2-6), Ohio Dominican 19-13 (9-1)

Location: Walsh Softball Complex

GAME ONE (L, 1-8):

• The Panthers maintained a 3-0 lead through the third inning
• With two outs, Sarah Moats reached first base on a single to center field
• Moats stole second on a wild pitch as Brooklyn Hellman was walked 
• With runners on first and second, Katelyn Loughman hit an RBI single to second base to put the Cavs withine two
• Ohio Dominican went on to score five additional runs to make the final score 8-1
• Sara Gockenbach pitched four innings and recorded six strikeouts

GAME TWO (L 3-5):

• Ohio Dominican struck first again as they scored three runs in the top of the second inning
• Walsh answered as Emma Bobey and Sarah Cantley each hit singles to right field 
• With runners on first and second, third baseman Bryn Elliott hit an RBI single to right field to send Bobey home
• Elliott and Cantley each advanced on a wild pitch, with Cantley scoring to put the Cavaliers within 1
• A Sarah Moats double to left center tied the game at 3-3 heading into the top of the third
• The Panthers scored two runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead at 5-3
