BEREA, Ohio - With the final weekend of competition looming, the Walsh Cavaliers women's track and field team competed in two last chance meets to improve the marks for the 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. A handful of athletes went to Allendale, Michigan for the GVSU Last Chance Meet while others traveled to Baldwin Wallace for the Harrison Dilliard Twlight. 

Between the two meets, Walsh had 13 top eight finishes and three NCAA Division II Provisional Marks reached. Kelsey Hartsock and Alexa Leppelmeier both bettered their marks in advance of the national qualifiers coming out.

• Kelsey Hartsock (Pole Vault): 4.05 meters - NCAA Division II Provisional Mark, T-14th in Division II

4th Place Finishes

• Bree Lumpkin (Hammer Throw): 48.86 meters

6th Place Finishes

• Brooke Lumpkin (Shot Put): 13.73 meters
• Reagan Garrett (Discus Throw): 43.74 meters

1st Place Finishes

• Alexa Leppelmeier (1500 Meters): 4:21.67 - NCAA Division II Provisional Mark, 7th in Division II

3rd Place Finishes

• 4x100 Relay (Kelsey Hartsock, Claire Martin, Talia McLin, Style Henry): 47.96 seconds
• Claire Martin (Triple Jump): 10.59 meters
• Brooke Lumpkin (Shot Put): 14.06 meters - NCAA Division II Provisional Mark

4th Place Finishes

• Brooke Lumpkin (Javelin Throw): 33.71 meters

5th Place Finishes

• Kelsey Hartsock (100 Meters): 12.28 seconds

6th Place Finishes

• Samantha Watkins (Discus Throw): 40.90 meters
• Madison Webb (Hammer Throw): 48.42 meters

8th Place Finishes

• Style Henry (100 Meters): 12.49 seconds

The 2022 NCAA qualifiers are set to be announced on Tuesday (May 17).
