NORTH CANTON, OH: For the 5th straight week, the Walsh Men's Basketball program was featured in the NABC DII Coaches Poll. With two wins last week, the Cavaliers jumped 3 spots to 19th in the country. The Men have been ranked as high as 15th, the highest ranking in the NCAA era.
Walsh will host a non conference game on Tuesday, vs Great Lakes Christian, and then host Cedarville on Saturday. The men previously beat the Yellow Jackets on January 8th, 72-56. In that contest, Cedarville hung around with the Maroon and Gold for about a half. The common theme to the Men's success pushed them forward in the comfortable win. The 10 deep rotation keeps the Cavs fresh and ready to play on both ends.
Quintero Barnett (15.1),
Brayden Gross (13.7), and
Matthew Biddell (11.6) lead the high powered offensive attack for Walsh. 3 other Cavs average over 9 points per game. Gross and
Zack Oddo haul in nearly 7 rebounds per game. The Cavs are currently the 23rd ranked scoring offense in the nation at the DII level. They are averaging 86.3 points per game.
